The Honiara City Council Law Enforcement Division has praised the public for cooperating with the Council\’s Seven-metre by-law ordinance saying the public has positively responded to the ordinance by complying with it.
The Honiara City Council began imposing the seven metre by-law on the first of this month.
Head of the Council\’s Law Enforcement Division Robert Madeo told SIBC News, the Division appreciates the public\’s cooperation in complying with by-law after just one week of implementation.
\”During the first week of implementation we have found people to be cooperative and people are trying their best to comply with the ordinance.\”
Mr Madeo also appealed to the public to maintain the cooperation to ensure a clean city.
\”Again I appeal to the public that let\’s maintain and continue with our good working relationship with the Honiara City Council.\”
