Western Province is set to send its contingents to this year\’s Solomon Games scheduled for Honiara from July 1st to 16th.
The province today says the team consists of 130 sports men and women who will compete in eight sports namely Athletics, Boxing, Futsal, Volleyball, Beach Volley Ball, Taekwando, Rugby 7s, and Netball.
The team will be accompanied by a total of 8 officials comprising political heads and senior administrators of the Provincial Government.
Meanwhile, the statement says boxers from Choiseul Province are blessed with a Government funded new boxing ring.
This new facility will help many raw talents in the province fully exploit their potential in the sport.
