Nominations of the Vuhokesa ward By-Election will close tomorrow.
The Returning Officer for the By-Elections Ms. Madlyn Ero says so far Election officials have received three nominations.
A statement from Honiara City Council media Office expects an increase in the number of nomination before the closing date.
It says certain individuals have indicated their interest but are yet to officially register.
Ms Ero says all nominees so far are males.
Meanwhile, the Honiara City Clerk Charles Kelly encourages women to contest, saying it is an opportunity for women to take up leadership roles.
The Vuhokesa By-Election will be held on the 2nd of March.
