A recent court circuit in Tugali, Central Province has sent five people to jail in relation to a number of criminal offences they committed.
Central Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Fred Satu told SIBC News, 50 cases were heard by a Principal Magistrate and a police prosecutor from Honiara during the court circuit.
\”The court managed to complete 50 cases as of Monday to Wednesday resulting to a total fine of $6,900 and about five people were sent to prison during the court circuit.\”
He adds the 50 cases were criminal cases filed since 2007 up to last year.
