The Solomon Islands in Solidarity for West Papua Group staged a peaceful march this morning to show Solomon Islands\’ support towards the freedom of people of West Papua.
The march began at the Honiara City Council to the National Auditorium and brought together supporters for the freedom and political independence of West Papuan.
Grace Hilly, a member of the Solomon Islands in Solidarity for West Papua Group said the march is to support West Papua\’s full membership to the Melanesian Spearhead Group.
\”For us Solidarity Solomon Islands we want the MSG leaders to accept West Papua\’s application for full membership of the Melanesian Spearhead Group.\”
SIBC News understands the Solomon Islands in Solidarity for West Papua Group is planning a similar program before the Melanesian Spearhead Group Leaders Summit in Honiara next month.
