Solomon Water has closed Rove Gravity Water Source today after dead water creatures were found at the source.
A statement form Solomon Water today confirms the closure and says the temporary closure is enforced because dead prawns and fish were discovered at the source which puts public health at risk.
Solomon Water says the closure will affect areas in Rove, Town Ground, Point Cruz and Ports.
The water authority also said they expect to restore normal water supply to the affected areas tomorrow.
SIBC News understands over 50 percent of Honiara citizens are already receiving normal water supply while others are experiencing continuous water rationing.
