The Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, Hon. Jeremiah Manele, has reaffirmed the country’s support for the ongoing Review of the Regional Architecture (RRA), following the 2nd Troika meeting held in Nadi on 14 April 2025.

The RRA aims to streamline the growing number of regional organizations and overlapping frameworks in the Pacific.

It seeks to improve coordination, reduce duplication, and enhance the region’s collective effectiveness.

The ultimate goal is to create a more efficient, integrated, and future-ready Pacific regional system.

The review will be led by the High-Level Persons Group (HLPG), which will guide political consultations throughout the process.

Leaders appointed to represent each subregion are Sir Dr. Jimmie Rogers from Solomon Islands for Melanesia, Peseta Noumea Simi from Samoa for Polynesia, and His Excellency Gerald Zackios from the Marshall Islands for Micronesia.

Prime Minister Manele emphasized Solomon Islands’ strong commitment to supporting this reform process, highlighting the importance of unity and cooperation in tackling both regional and global challenges.

He made the statement during a press conference in Honiara following his return from Fiji on 16 April.
