The government-initiated \”SOLO4FIJI\” National Appeal will be hosting a corporate dinner as the fundraiser enters its third week.
Chair of the Organizating Committee Mr. Joseph Waleanisia says the committee has until yesterday raised $405,000 in cash and still to collect more than $80,000 worth of pledges.
Mr Waleanisia adds today\’s radiothon alone raised an additional $58,000 in cash and pledges.
He says the amount collected so far is \’encouraging\’ but is hoping that many more individuals and companies would participate.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister says the organising committee is planning two more corporate dinner events.
