A group of business leaders of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SICCI, had visited the SolTuna cannery and Tri-marine processing facility in Noro last weekend.
This marks a historical new level of outreach to business houses in Noro, Gizo and Munda in the Western province.
In a statement today, Chamber Chief Executive Officer Jerry Tengemoana says, the visit to the onshore processing facility in Noro was invaluable as it showed business leaders the value of ventures, involving significant and bold investment in order to reap economic benefits.
Mr Tengemoana says Solomon Islands is a model for Pacific nations and looks to retain more revenue from its fisheries resources.
