The Solomon Islands Brisbane Community, SIBC, is responding to various appeals for donations to assist disaster stricken people of Honiara and Guadalcanal by appealing for donation around Australia.
The Brisbane community will spend the next couple of days sorting out donated stuff at Orleigh Park before finalising arrangements to deliver the assistance to Honiara.
The organising committee says the turnout was very encouraging.
It was agreed on by the Brisbane community executive- all donations will be channeled through the Forum Solomon Islands International.
Unified Voice understands, FSII has set up its own donation centers in Honiara- Florence Young Christian School and the Komifera Pako Building, Room 7.
