Female middle distance ace, Sharon Firisua, claimed gold in the women\’s 5000m with an impressive performance in the first event of the day.
Papua New Guinea claimed both the silver and bronze medals in the event.
Meanwhile, Rosefelo Siosi won bronze in the men\’s 10,000 metres.
In his first Oceania Athletics Championships, four years ago, Siosi took home gold in both his five and 10-kilometre races.
