A heavy rain Alert is issued by the Solomon Islands Meteorological Services for the next 24 to 48 hours at 7.30 am this morning.
A message from the Solomon Islands Meteorological Services says a heavy rain alert is in force for Choiseul, Isabel and Western Provinces.
It said due to a moist bearing southeast trade wind flow pushing towards the Northern Provinces associated cloud and rain are expected to affect the mentioned provinces.
The message said such localised Heavy Rain showers may lead to flash flooding over communities living close to large rivers, streams and low lying areas.
The next update will be at 5pm this evening.
