The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) National Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) is intensively investigating the murder of an adult person at the White River school playing ground over the weekend.
Police alleged the male deceased was discovered by one of the locals living nearby at about 10pm, Saturday night and immediately reported the matter to the White River Police post.
Police then promptly responded by quickly securing the crime scene for medical examinations as well as police Forensics to attend the scene.
The matter has been under police control as the suspect has been identified and inquiry has been established.
Those with knowledge of the incident must come forward and assist in police investigations.
Police warn the general public not to stir the situation with false allegations but ensure our communities are safe from such ill behaviour.
