Rennell and Bellona and Guadalcanal Provinces have not qualified to access the Provincial Capacity Development Fund (PCDF) 2015-2016.
Government Communication Unit confirmed to SIBC News today these two provinces have failed to meet the conditions of accessing the fund.
The GCU said these two provinces will not access the fund until they meet the minimum criteria.
Meanwhile, seven provinces – Choiseul, Malaita, Central, Isabel, Western, Makira and Temotu provinces have qualified to access the $33.5 million PCD Funds.
The assessment was conducted by three independent consultants from June to August this year.
