Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has said rehabilitating Russell Islands Plantation Estate Limited (RIPEL) means rehabilitating the whole country.
He said RIPEL is the biggest commercial plantation in the region. He adds a cabinet sub-committee has been established to rehabilitate RIPEL.
\”A Cabinet sub-committee was established to rehabilitate RIPEL, of course, RIPEL is the biggest commercial plantation in the region, which mean to say that the rehabilitation of RIPEL will mean rehabilitation of agriculture in the region.\”
In livestock, Prime Minister Sogavare has said the government is maintaining and providing infrastructure support to Tenavatu cattle farm on Guadalcanal.
\”In livestock, we are currently maintaining and providing infrastructure support to the Tenavatu Cattle Farm (TCF).\”
The Prime Minister made the remark during the commemoration of the country\’s 37th Independence anniversary last week.
