The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is working with the Ministry of Home Affairs in preparation to celebrate the country\’s 37th Independence day next week.
Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast confirmed in his weekly media conference Thursday this week.
He told local Journalists that police will scale up its operations to ensure safety and security during the celebrations.
\”We certainly do intend to be out in force again this weekend in a high visibility sense, making sure that people in Honiara can enjoy themselves safely.\”
The country marks its 37th Independence celebration on July 7th.
