Public Servants\’ General Orders (GO) has become a subject of discussion in parliament when Leader of the Parliamentary Independent Group, Honourable Manasseh Maelanga, questioned which version is the legal one.
The Minister of Public Service, Honourable John Dean Kuku, in response says the 1986 edition is legally binding.
Kuku further adds the GO is accessed by all public servants in both soft and hard copies.
The minister states, the GO is under constant reviews and these reviews have never reached successful ending.
Kuku explains, much of previous reviews will be captured in a Public Service Bill set to come before parliament soon.
Kuku told parliament, the Bill is now in its sixth edition and MPs will soon have their own copies as part of the consultation process.
