Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo has sent greetings to the Premier of Malaita Province Edwin Suibaea on the occasion of the Province\’s 31st Second Appointed Day Anniversary, which falls tomorrow.
In a government statement today, Prime Minister Lilo said Malaita Province has come a long way and has battled against waves of challenges.
He also said he has great admiration for the province\’s unconditional commitment towards nation building in both its human and natural resources – which has shaped and influenced the development in Solomon Islands over the years.
The Prime Minister also called on the Province to use the occasion to reflect and take stock of its strengths and challenges, as the province strives to develop itself with support from the national government and other development partners.
