The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force Policing Unit will launch a Cyber Safety Pacifica program on Tuesday.
The program aims to protect children and vulnerable people in accessing the Internet.
Acting Police Commissioner Juanita Matanga says the program will provide children, youths and communities with talks about the risks associated to the Internet.
\”The importance of this program is because Solomon Islands is merging into Information Technologies, Internet programmes even the mobile phones, but yet we\’re not aware of the risks associated with such accessible technologies.\”
Mrs Matanga adds, the program will reach out to schools about the risks of Internet.
