The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) is investigating an incident involving an alleged assault of a teenage female student.
It was alleged, an employee of the Solomon Islands National University has intervened in an argument between a girl closely related to him and the victim which resulted in the bashing incident.
The victim was believed to be a student from Panatina Community High School.
Meanwhile, Police Media Unit confirms to SIBC News this afternoon, it is following on the incident.
It says a criminal file has been opened while police Criminal Investigation Department at Naha is investigating the matter.
The police Media Unit says no arrest has been made so far.
