PAN OCEANIC BANK HAD RESOUNDING RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMERS

Pan Oceanic Bank, says it\’s had a resounding response with more than 5,000 accounts opened in its first two months.

The Chief Executive, Nihal Kekulawala, told Radio New Zealand International, the Pan Oceanic Bank has the lowest interest rates in the country, and unlike other banks, grants loans to both wage earning and self-employed Solomon Islanders.

Mr Kekulawala says he is surprised at the early success.

He told Radio New Zealand International the Bank did not expect that they would have more than 5,000 savings account holders in their books.

He adds, the number has now increased to over 5,000.
