North Guadalcanal has formed a Constituency Congress.
SIBC\’s stringer in North Guadalcanal, Dudley Gani reports this is a new initiative taken by the MP for North Guadalcanal Samson Maneka.
Gani says the congress held their first meeting last Sunday.
\”The main role of the newly formed Congress is to work as mediators between their communities and the Honourable MP by informing them of what the MP\’s plans for the communities. Now the new MP has decided to zone up his constituency into seven zones from which three representatives became members of the congress. The congress will also help to screen constituency projects to ensure equal distribution of services to the people.\”
