The Solomon Islands National Rugby 7s squad has commenced its full training program this afternoon.
The Solomon Islands Rugby Union Federation says it is is very serious about sending the best team to the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea in July.
It adds it has expanded its training squad to 24 players from which the final squad will be selected by mid-march.
Meanwhile, the statement adds the federation plans to bring a senior sevens coach in the region to assist the national coach prepare the side for the Pacific Games.
