The Ministry of Mines, Energy and Rural Electrification and Asia Pacific Development Company (APDC) have been served with a log of claims by the West Rennell Landowners council.
Chair of the Council Dictor Maitaki told SIBC News, the claims were made after several meetings held by the council this year.
Mr Maitaki said Landowners had several demands that should be met by the government and APDC to ensure proper mining operations in their area.
He said the council hopes to receive a counter offer from the government and APDC that will set the basis for a round table discussion regarding the issue in the coming weeks.
