Malageti community in South Guadalcanal will host a sports tournament starting Monday next week.
Speaking to SIBC News, Allan Tarohania says the tournament is a seven a side soccer tournament and is expected to run for two to three weeks.
He says the tournament will attract around 50 teams, saying the tournament is sponsored by the outgoing member for Vatukulau ward, in South Guadalcanal.
\”This will attract 40-50 teams within the South Guadalcanal Constituency including teams from East and West Guadalcanal Constituencies. This tournament is sponsored by the outgoing Member for Vatukulau ward Rolland Seleso and the prizes are as follows: the first prize is a trophy, gold medals and $8,000.00 cash; second prize is $5,000.00 plus silver medals and a trophy and the third prize is $2,000.00 cash and bronze medals.\”
