MAKIRA PROVINCIAL GOV\’T URGED TO ESTABLISH TOWN COMMITTEE

Makira Ulawa Provincial Assembly is urged to quickly establish the Kirakira Town Committee under the Kirakira Town Committee Ordinance.

A community and businessman in KiraKira, Noel Mamau says Villages in Makira Ulawa Province have set up village committees under the provincial Community Governance Regime Ordinance and Kirakira needs their committee to look after their political affairs and service delivery.

Mr Mamau says, the provincial Executive needs to relinquish the responsibility to the committee and the Executive should worry about the affairs of the entire province.
