ISABEL & RENBELL TO HAVE BYE-ELECTIONS THIS JULY

Isabel and Rennell-Bellona Provinces will hold their by-elections in July after the Ministry of Provincial Government signed legal notices today.

This authorizes bye-elections for Havulei/Baolo Ward Two in Isabel Province and West Tegano Ward Two in Rennell Island.

Both provincial wards are without a political representative after returning officers announced a tied vote in each ward following the provincial elections in December last year.

SIBC News understands nominations for the bye-elections will open on May 27th and close on June 3rd.
