Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has assured the people of Malaita Province that their call has not fallen on deaf ears.
Speaking at the Malaita Province 32nd Second Appointed Day celebrations today, Prime Minister Sogavare congratulated the Malaita provincial government and its people for another milestone.
Prime Minister Sogavare said the call for the development of Malaita province will not fall on deaf ears.
He says Malaita province has occupied a very strategic vision in the economic make-up of Solomon Islands.
\”As a matter of fact Malaita Province has occupied a very strategic vision in the economic make-up of this country, even before independence Mr Premier. And you\’re correct, Solomon Islands became an independent nation with an export base that comprised mainly of timber and copra, that\’s it. It is the people of this province I want to acknowledge Mr Premier.\”
