HOME AFFAIRS MINISTRY AND UNICEF TO LAUNCH REGISTRY

The Ministry of Home Affairs in Partnership with the United Nation\’s Children\’s Fund, UNICEF, will launch the country\’s newly established Electronic Civil Registration System tomorrow.

Confirming this to local media today, the Honiara UNICEF branch says the launching will be at the National Museum Auditorium in Honiara.

SIBC News understands the newly established Electronic Civil Registration System is one of Government priorities to improve registration of all children across the country.

The new Civil Registration database software was funded by the UNICEF New Zealand National Committee and European Union.
