The High Court has farewelled one of its longest serving staff, Timothy Kwaimani.

At seventy years of age, Mr Kwaimani retires at the age of seventy years old and after serving the public service for 54 years; 42 of which he spent at the High Court.

He first entered the public service in January 1961, working as clerk in the District of Administration in Auki, Malaita Province.

He was later transferred to the High Court in February 1973 to be the Assistant registrar.

He was later appointed as sheriff and then senior associate to Chief Justice; the post he held until his retirement last week.

A farewell party was held in his honour last Friday.
