Honiara City Council Management will elect its new city mayor tomorrow.
This has been gazetted by the Prime Minister\’s Office.
Nominations for intending candidates closed yesterday.
Honiara City Council Clerk Mr Charles Kelly told SIBC News, the election takes place at 10am.
He says a new mayor-elect will be announced by midday.
\”The proceedings are going well at the moment and for all Honiara citizens we hope by Monday midday we would have a new Mayor-elect for the Honiara City Council.\”
The mayor\’s office has been vacant after Alfrence Fatai resigned.
