HCC ANNOUNCED IT WILL EMPOWER SCHOOL COMMITTEES

The Honiara City Council has announced plans to empower school committees of its schools.

This is to ensure fair posting of teachers, and to ensure that complaints are dealt with by school committees.

Deputy Mayor and Chairman for Education Eric Tema said empowering school committees will help solve teachers concern and issues regarding postings and promotions.

\”At the moment I will make sure to empower school committees, so that they will deal with anything to do with teachers\’. So whatever actions we\’ll either take or not, will be determined by the committees\”, said Mr. Tema.
