The Honiara City Council Vector Borne Disease Control Team will begin their indoor Malaria control spray in selected areas within Honiara City.
A statement issued by the HCC Vector Borne Team says villages or communities with noticeable increase malaria cases since the beginning of this year will have their houses sprayed.
It says the program aims to reduce malaria incidences by 20 percent at the end of the year.
The statement adds people living in selected areas will be notified in advance for their schedule dates, saying homeowners are advised to prepare their houses on the scheduled day.
Dates and details of the program will be made known after the bad weather.
