The Guadalcanal Provincial Executive and members of the provincial assembly say they support the National Government\’s decision to implement the proposed limited rearmament of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force.
This followed a presentation on the project by representatives from the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services; Royal Solomon Islands Police Force, and RAMSI during a Guadalcanal provincial executive meeting in Honiara last week.
A statement from the RAMSI Public Affairs yesterday said the Guadalcanal Provincial Premier, Batholomew Vavanga assures involved parties that his government supports the decision to rearm certain units in the RSIPF given the reasons explained.
