Licensed firearm owners from North Malaita have questioned the Government\’s position in dealing with their legally registered weapons destroyed by RAMSI since 2003.
SIBC\’s North Malaita stringer John Andrew Kiri reports, more than 50 licensed firearm owners in the region are still waiting for the government to explain its position regarding the matter.

Meanwhile, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Police, Edmund Sikua said yesterday that work on reviewing documents concerning the licensed firearm holders compensation is currently underway at the Ministry of Police, National Security and Correctional Services.
