The Governor-General will be attending the Easter Monday fun run in Honiara next week.
The Rotary Club of Honiara says Sir Frank Kabui will officially open the race and award the race winners as a chief guest.
The five kilometre race will begin at Lawson Tama Stadium at 8am on Monday next week.
Meanwhile, the statements said the event is important to raise funds to support the Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children program.
The program provides funding for Solomon Islands children to go to Australia for life-saving medical treatment.
