The disaster assessment teams deployed to assess communities and areas affected by the recent bad weather in the Guadalcanal Plains have returned.
Guadalcanal Provincial Disaster Officer, Herrick Savusia told Unified Voice, the four teams were deployed to the Guadalcanal plains after the floods caused by the heavy rains earlier this year.
The Guadalcanal Provincial Disaster Officer said the teams are now compiling reports collected from the assessment teams and final recommendations will determine what further actions to take.
The assessment teams were deployed by the National Disaster Management Office.
