Firisua finishes first in 5000m to earn second gold

Sharon Firisua bagged a gold in the 5,000 metres today at the Pacific Mini Games.

It was Firisua\’s second gold medal at the competition in Port Vila, Vanuatu.

Solomon Islander Dianah Matekali placed third in the race.

With 16 medals, Solomon Islands is 6th in the medal tally.

In football, Solomon Islands is playing New Caledonia and trying to keep their gold medal hopes alive.
