Election preparation for Makira Ulawa province next week has been progressive well.
SIBC\’s Gina Maka\’a reports, Election Manager Gilbert Tabihau says polling officials have been deployed to other parts of the province to conduct training for other polling officials this weekend.
\”Speaking to the Election Manager for Makira Ulawa Province Mr. Gilbert Tabihau, he said polling officials have left for West Makira on Saturday, where they will conduct a training session for Polling officials in Marau bay this weekend.\”
Maka\’a adds,additional police officers have already team up with the provincial officers to ensure a safe and peaceful election in the Province.
\”Sixty-three police officers from Makira including other officers from Honiara will take part in the upcoming election to provide security. 49 of them will be deployed out to stations around Makira Ulawa province.\”
