Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast says the cooperation of communities with Police has resulted in a successful security
operation during the National General Elections.
The Police Commissioner acknowledged the success of the elections at a media conference this morning.
Mr Prendergast says the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force had been involved in a lot of community engagement prior to the National General Elections security operation.
He also said the security operation will continue until the formation of a new Government.
\”So we will maintain a very vigorous operational posture right through till after the formation of government and again we\’re confident with the level of support that we\’ve been getting from the community and I have to say we\’re really happy with that and that we will be able to maintain security right through the period.\”
