CENTRAL BANK WARNS OF FAKE $100 NOTES IN CIRCULATION

The Central Bank of Solomon Islands has today issued a warning that counterfeit one hundred bills are in circulation again.

In a statement, the Central Bank says, cashiers, vendors, retail shop owners and the general public must always check cash tendered notes, before completing any form of transactions.

The Bank\’s warning comes after individuals recently accepted two counterfeit one-hundred dollar notes.

The Bank also warns it is a crime under the 2012 CBSI Act, to involve in producing and dealing with counterfeit or fake currency notes.
