A number of commercial businesses who failed to participate in the 2015 Annual Solomon Islands Surveys of Employment and Business Activities could possibly face a $14,000.00 fine.

The Ministry of Finance and Treasury confirms in a statement.

The statement stresses these businesses face the possibility of a $14,000.00 fine for breaching the Statistics Amendment Act 2007.

Meanwhile, Government Statistician Mr. Douglas Kimi stresses, the survey would assist the National Statistics Office to identify important national economic indicators.
