The Auki township water pump has encountered a major fault and Solomon Water is working on rectifying the dilemma.
Auki town has been experiencing water problem for a few weeks now.
Solomon Water General Manager Ian Gooden assures Auki customers, a team of engineers and electricians are hard at work trying to ensure water is restored within the township.
Mr. Gooden says at the moment, Auki is only serviced by the JICA borehole pump which can only supply limited water.
He appeals to all customers in Auki to reduce water consumption where possible.
