An adult man has died in a road accident on Rennell Island yesterday morning.
This comes after the vehicle on which he was travelling veered off the road and crashed into the nearby bushes.
An eyewitness Wyne Sao told SIBC News yesterday the incident left three other people with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, Tingoa Clinic Nursing Director Adam Oliana says those injured have been referred to the National Referral Hospital for
urgent treatment.
\”It\’s a sad incident that we have lost one of the four from this accident while we are still attending to the other three who are in a critical situation and with no doctors here, in my view they have to be transferred immediately to the National Referral Hospital in Honiara.\”
SIBC News understand the dead person was transported to his home village yesterday for burial.
