ADB likely to fund road upgrades

Road upgrade from Central Honiara to White River in the west will most likely be funded by the Asian Development Bank, ADB.

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, Steven Maesiola announces.

Mr Maesiola says the proposal is now among subjects of discussion with ADB and the Japanese Government under phase two of the Kukum Highway project.

SIBC News is aware the Japanese Government has already approved funding for the upgrade of road infrastructure from the Fisheries Ministry to Henderson Airport.
