Auki United Youth Council has appreciated funding initiatives from various business houses in Auki Town to enable Malaita Provincial Assembly to organize important sitting this week.
Speaking to SIBC News from Auki, United Youth Council Secretary Mr Nelson Sobo says the financial assistance is crucial for the formation of the new provincial executive.
\”The problem with the Province is that they don\’t have funds to convene their assembly sitting, so the local business houses in Auki have stepped in to support financially, enabling the province to hold its election for its Provincial Assembly Speaker and Premier this week.\”
SIBC News understands the last provincial executive has been blamed for the current financial difficulty.
