13 ballot boxes from polling stations in East Choiseul Constituency are being kept overnight at Pangoe.
The ballot boxes will be transported to Taro early tomorrow morning, around 7 am.
Police Operation Manager for Choiseul province, Inspector Ronald Chite said the ballot boxes are kept secured under tight police security.
He said police will maintain continuous surveillance to ensure the safety of the ballot boxes.
The Operation Manager confirmed a peaceful election in the constituency.
Voters in Choiseul province only vote for their parliamentary representative as the Choiseul Provincial Assembly will dissolve in 2028.
