FSII VOWS TO JOIN STAKEHOLDERS FIGHT STREET PROBLEMS

Forum Solomon Islands International has vowed to join other stakeholders to fight street problems in the capital.

In a statement, the FSII says it will form a joint task force with other key stakeholders to fight illegal activities in Honiara.

The FSII made the resolution following numerous reports of public hooliganism and street bullying in the capital.

In a meeting, FSII says they have identified stakeholders, including the Honiara City Council, Police, Solomon Islands Christian Association, Solomon Islands Full Gospel Association, National Council of Women, Ministry of Youth, Children Affairs and Parents, Guardians and relatives.

FSII says it believes that to successfully combat the issue the key stakeholders needs to work together to allow children, women and men in Honiara to live in a crime-free environment .

SIBC News understands FSII is currently making arrangements to meet with the stakeholders to strategize how to deal with this rising issue.
