The People\’s Alliance Party says it is concerned over the absence of MPs at parliament meetings, as they prepare for this year\’s National General Elections.

Party President and former Governor General, Sir Nathaniel Waena told SIBC News the behaviour of current MP\’s in and out of parliament is \’worrying\’.

\”This concerns us the People\’s Alliance Party because in our current meetings in preparations towards the 2014 general elections, we have a lot of concern about the behaviour of Members of Parliament on the floor of parliament and even outside of parliament and that is with regards to a lot of their time have been spent on worrying about RCDF. They are not Accounts Clerks and that is our point.\”

The PAP Party Leader also said the primary duty of MP\’s are to be in parliament, attending all parliamentary meetings and to legislate what is necessary for the country and this is what MPs are paid to do.
