The Family Support Centre F-S-C is providing awareness on sexual abuse and violence for women, girls and children in evacuation centres as it started to record and verify cases.
F-S-C Community Educator Hendrick Barai says the centre has received two sexual abuse cases in Rove evacuation centre so far.
Mr Barai says the centre hopes to record some more cases now that victims know more about sexual abuse and violence.
Mr Barai says, F-S-C gathers information for its awareness program from all its stakeholders.
He adds staff will be allocated to evacuation centres after awareness schedules are finalised.
